Deputy Party Secretary Fan Junfei Observes the General Membership Meeting of the Third Party Branch of the Students

On the afternoon of May 20, 2022, the Third Party Branch of the Students of the School of Mathematics held a general membership meeting in Conference Room B312 of Tongbo Building to discuss the admission of Li Lu and Wang Yang as the probationary Party members. Li Xinyue, secretary of the Party Branch, presided over the meeting, and Fan Junfei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mathematics, observed the meeting.

The meeting was carried out in strict accordance with the procedures for admitting probationary Party members. After voting by the full Party members at the meeting, the meeting unanimously agreed to accept two comrades, Li Lu and Wang Yang, as probationary Party members. Deputy Party Secretary Fan Junfei, who observed the meeting, said that the procedures of the general membership meeting of the Party Branch were standardized, and the full Party members at the meeting fully discussed the two potential Party members, who not only affirmed their achievements, but also pointed out their shortcomings and future rectification directions. Deputy Party Secretary Fan Junfei presented the "Constitution of the Communist Party of China" to the two comrades and congratulated them.

Finally, Deputy Party Secretary Fan Junfei emphasized that the Party Committee of the School of Mathematics has been taking practical measures to strengthen the construction of the Party branches, attaching great importance to the recruitment of Party members, and strictly controlling the quality of recruiting Party members. The Third Party Branch should strive to build itself into a strong combat bastion. He hoped that the Party members from the students would always strengthen the study of the Party's political theory, and enhance their commitment to the Party. In particular, in their future studies and life, new Party members should be stricter with themselves, and give full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members. All members of the Party Branch should earnestly study the guiding principles from General Secretary Xi Jinping's recent major speeches, acquire a deep understanding of the decisive significance of establishing Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and of establishing the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, firmly uphold Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and uphold the Central Committee's authority and its centralized, unified leadership, and greet the successful convening of the 20th CPC National Congress with concrete action.
